Australian Consumer Law Notice

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (“ACL”).

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the products repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.


Introduction

This Express Warranty is provided by DTF Store (Car Geek Australia Pty Ltd ABN 48 622 100 145) and applies in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.


Definitions

In this Warranty:

  • ACL means the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)
  • Consumables include (without limitation): inks, cleaning fluids, maintenance liquids, cartridges, bags, tanks, wipes, rollers, pads, tubes, and all similar items
  • Product means printers and related equipment supplied by DTF Store
  • Demonstration Unit means a used unit utilised for testing or training purposes
  • Service Agent means an authorised repair provider
  • User Manual means documentation provided for operation and maintenance

Product Coverage & Life Expectancy

Warranty coverage is subject to both time and usage limits, whichever occurs first.

Examples:

  • Iris Compact Pro: 1 year or 2,000 prints
  • Iris Pro: 1 year or 4,000 prints
  • Iris Super Pro/Max: 1 year or 6,000 prints

Actual lifespan depends on usage, maintenance, and operating conditions.


🔴 PRINT HEAD WARRANTY EXCLUSION (CRITICAL)

Print heads are considered consumable components and are NOT covered under warranty.

Print head lifespan varies depending on:

  • maintenance practices
  • usage frequency
  • environmental conditions
  • ink quality

We are not responsible for:

  • clogged or blocked print heads
  • head strikes or physical damage
  • improper maintenance
  • incorrect or third-party consumables
  • failure due to inactivity or improper storage

👉 Replacement of print heads is the responsibility of the customer.


Consumables & Wear Items

Consumables are not covered under warranty.

These include (but are not limited to):

  • inks
  • cleaning products
  • maintenance components
  • filters, pads, and fluid systems

🔧 WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Any warranty provided is strictly conditional on:

  • correct installation and setup
  • adherence to all maintenance procedures
  • use of approved inks, parts, and consumables
  • operation within recommended environmental conditions

👉 Failure to meet these conditions may void any applicable warranty.


⚠️ THIRD-PARTY EQUIPMENT DISCLAIMER

Our products are designed for use within recommended systems.

We do not guarantee compatibility or performance when used with:

  • third-party printers
  • modified machines
  • non-recommended systems

We accept no liability for:

  • damage to other equipment
  • performance issues
  • incompatibility outcomes

We do not guarantee specific print results, output quality, or performance outcomes.

Results depend on:

  • user setup
  • maintenance practices
  • materials used
  • environmental conditions

👉 Failure to achieve expected results is not considered a defect.


🔁 USER RESPONSIBILITY & MAINTENANCE

DTF equipment requires regular use and maintenance.

We are not responsible for issues caused by:

  • lack of use
  • improper shutdown procedures
  • failure to perform maintenance
  • incorrect storage

Print Services (Gang Sheets & Printing)

All files are printed exactly as supplied.

We do not check, edit, or optimise artwork.

We are not responsible for:

  • artwork errors
  • resolution issues
  • colour variation
  • file setup problems

Products produced in accordance with submitted files are not considered faulty.


Warranty Claims Process

To make a claim:

  • provide proof of purchase
  • provide clear photographic/video evidence
  • contact us within a reasonable timeframe

We may require inspection or return of the product.


Remedies

Where required under Australian Consumer Law:

  • major failure → replacement or refund
  • minor failure → repair or replacement (at our discretion)

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • liability is limited to repair, replacement, or cost thereof
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss
  • we are not liable for business interruption or loss of income
